About

I am a current sophomore at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, studying history and linguistics. I am a fan of many things (read: I obsess over a countless variety of things), one of which is costumes — particularly in films and in television programs, but also in theater. I’m also deeply fond of literature and creative writing.

While I have a love of historical costuming in specific, I am deeply interested in costumes on a broad level. This blog will be a way for me to explore them — the symbolism present within costumes, the historical accuracy (or lack thereof), and other things that relate to costuming as a whole.

This is what I look like.

I will credit the television programs and films as I upload images from them. If you have a film or television program/episode you’d like me to talk about, please feel free to shoot me a message.

I hope that you enjoy my thoughts and analyses!
